Film¹/ASAP: As Slow As Possible
Within the stone walls of a medieval German church, a 639-year-long musical performance sustains unceasing chords held for years at a time, a quiet resistance against the frantic pulse of the modern age. Spanning nearly a decade, Film¹/ASAP observes the life of its aging caretaker, lingering between the rare, global gatherings of each chord change and the unmeasured rhythms of daily life that sustain the work.
Film1/ASAP is intended to be the first installment in a film series set to premiere in 02026 and conclude in 02640. Read more about the film at Long Now Foundation.Special thanks to our partners Women Make Movies and Münchner Filmwerkstatt
